Each house receives an overall rating and per-criterion scores — food, service, comfort, value, depending on the category. We visit as ordinary guests, pay our own bill and return when something changes.
How we rate
GuiaFoz is an independent guide made by people who live in Foz do Iguaçu. No place pays to appear; no rating is negotiated.
The Guide's Drops
Inspired by the great travel guides, the drops are our highest distinction: one drop is worth the stop, two the detour, three the journey. Few houses receive them — and they can lose them.
The Find seal
Quality well above the price. Our equivalent of the Bib Gourmand: houses where your money goes further than it should.
Three countries
Foz doesn't end at the border: we also rate Puerto Iguazú, in Argentina, with the same yardsticks and the same anonymity.
